For decades the 64-acre Kesey Farm was not only the home of Ken Kesey and his family, but served as headquarters and ground zero for his work as writer, artist, playwright, impresario, prankster, and activist. It was also a lively, productive hub and test site for an extensive network of creators and thinkers.

Our mission is to further the Farm's role as a place of innovation, honoring the creative energy and boundless spirit of Ken Kesey. Our goal is to develop projects that support writing and art, collaboration, exploration, magic, and mystery. We began with an artist residency last summer, and are adding a poetry workshop this fall. Other projects will follow as we make our way. We welcome the assistance of all who would like to participate in the continued unfolding. We are also dedicated to preserving the Farm’s history.

The Kesey Farm Project was initiated in 2016 by Ken's granddaughter Kate Smith and artist Olivia Bates, with the support of the Kesey family. It is a program of the nonprofit Charitable Partnership Fund, a 501(c)3 organization.
