Candlemaking at Dusk

Join us for an evening of seasonal rites at the historic Kesey Farm with our talented friends Lucky Star Candle. Come and learn the time honored technique of hand-dipping beeswax candles and explore the form of the braided candle.

All participants will bring home at least two woven candles— personal sigils to mark the passage into the darker half of the year. Pumpkin soup and cider will be served. No experience needed — all materials provided.

Accessibility: The Kesey Farm is an outdoor/indoor rural venue with some steps, uneven ground and varied terrain. We strive to make our programs accessible to all participants and are happy to adapt activities. If you have mobility, sensory, or other access needs, please reach out to us at keseyfarm@gmail.com ahead of time so we can help support your experience

Limited tickets available. Ticket cost covers the cost of instruction, materials, and two candles to take home. Any remaining proceeds directly support the artists and Kesey Farm Project mission.

Nearur

As a part of the summer solstice Jessie Rose Vala and Ungrund Collective transformed the historic buildings of the Farm through multi-channel video installations and a curated screening in the barn. There were ceramic party favors created by local artist Leah Howell, and ample food and drink. Visit the Nearur page here to see pics from the event!
